You may be wondering what it would be like to pack for a 4 month trip for 2 adults and 2 preschool aged kids. Well, its an adventure in and of itself.
We have many advantages in preparing for this trip because we’ve already lived on the road for 2.5 years. We also made sure to camp with the girls as soon as their little bodies allowed us to (and we experienced MANY failures that cut us down to our knees)…if you ever need a good story-ask us about the 1st time we took Adela camping nearby Mt. Hood. Disaster with a CAPITAL „D”.
So we have LOTS of great ideas floating around in our heads and at least 3 Google Keep lists going to move us along…but truly our little girls yank at our attention spans and we get 5.3 milliseconds to throw something in a pile that we think we might take.
As much as we hate to support a big corporation like Amazon, we realize its pivotal to getting all the small random things, like little tiny nubs for the bottom half of my seat so that I stop flying forward every time we come to an abrupt halt.
We’ve also had a lot of luck in the re-selling market on Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, and our good ol’ local thrift store! We are most definitely thrifty when it comes to gear, but we realized that there are some water essentials we need to get. Stand up paddle boards, kids full face snorkel masks, and lots and lots of sunshirts. We are going to Baja after all!
We are so grateful to have this opportunity for this trip and we are truly thrilled you are here on our blog following our adventures and misadventures. ENJOY!
