We are both shocked it is already June 13th. It feels like it was just a couple of weeks ago we decided to commit to this crazy adventure, now we actually have to get ready for it!
Lola is coming along, slower than we would have liked, but family comes first and let’s face it, we have time on our side. We’ve left town for my brother’s graduation, had family in town, and this past weekend we had an amazing going away/block party with family and friends.
We likened this party experience to our wedding day or a graduation. You’re constantly in a flurry- talking to one person and then another, and then as you try to go to the bathroom, another really good friend catches your eye! It’s exhausting, but thrilling. When I realize we’re so surrounded with love and people looking out for us I know there is someone up there watching over us.
We’re both going to have more time in the next weeks, as I finish the school year in 1.5 weeks (don’t ask me about IEP Report Cards right now!!!) and Todd is ramping down his projects at work.
Keep your fingers crossed, we’re thinking last week in July is our departure…that’s 6 weeks, 6 WEEKS!!!!??!!! I better go see what Todd is doing.
